Abstract

The aging of consecrated religious women presents specificities that require a differentiated approach, uniting health and spirituality. This article reports the experience of the extension project ‘Afternoons of Beatitudes’ (Tardes das Bem-Aventuranças), developed throughout 2025 at Vila Maria, a residence for elderly sisters of the Congregation of the Daughters of Divine Love, in Parnamirim-RN. The objective was to promote quality of life and mitigate social isolation through humanized and integral care. The methodology consisted of weekly meetings structured around cognitive stimulation, spiritual experiences, playfulness, and manual therapies. The results indicated a significant improvement in the residents' mood, retrieval of affective memory through religious dynamics, and relief of physical pain through therapeutic touch. It is concluded that the insertion of students in this context fosters essential humanistic competencies and that spirituality acts as a protective and resilience factor for institutionalized elderly women.
