Digital Technologies can contribute to learning in the educational context. Therefore, the following research aimed to present and discuss the use of games from the “IBGE Educa” portal in teaching Educational Geography. The methodology used was bibliographical research, consulting authors who discuss the use of games in Teaching (Orlandi et al., 2018; Fardo, 2014), and learning processes (Moreira, 2011). A quali-quantitative approach was adopted during the survey of the available games on “IBGE Educa” portal, which can be used in Educational Geography and applied in the classroom, aiming to identify the potential of such resources. Among the founded games, three were selected, which were: Puzzle Maps, Extinct Fauna Memory Games and a Quiz game. Each one of them presented potential for the Teaching of Geography themes, and when applied in the classroom they contributed to the approach of cartographic aspects, biodiversity of fauna and flora, and basic notions about the Brazilian territory. Those and other games were used as educational tools with Elementary school classes in final years. During the activities, students showed interest in the proposals involving some of the games, and were able to understand how they related to the topics approached in classroom, a fact that further highlighted even more the potential of the games as pedagogical possibilities for teaching and learning Geography.
